FAU财政援助时间表

Here is a chronological guide of important dates within the financial aid process at FAU. Use this as a checklist and guide to understanding what actions you should be taking throughout the 学年!

Apply for the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) at StudentAid.政府. 

This annual application allows FAU to consider all admitted, 为攻读学位的学生提供经济援助.

Note: If you are accepted into the Summer 2024 semester, you should 完整的 BOTH the 2023-2024 and the 2024-2025 application. 

Complete the FAFSA each academic year — financial aid is not renewed automatically.

  • 签署FAFSA. 学生 should sign the FAFSA electronically using their FSA ID. Parents of dependent 学生 should also sign electronically if possible with their own FSA ID.
  • 的 2024-25 FAFSA will use 学生’ and parents’ 2022 income and tax information, if applicable. In most cases, the 2022 tax information will be imported directly from the IRS onto the application.
  • Once you have successfully submitted your application, 打印并保存确认页, which contains your confirmation number and other important information.

的 佛罗里达光明期货奖学金项目, funded by the State of Florida, is based on high school academic achievement.

佛罗里达预付 is administered by the Tuition and Billing Services department.

If you are bringing in scholarships from a private source, please follow 这些步骤.

FAU奖学金审查和申请 奖学金的宇宙, which is KU体育官网APP’s online application and search portal for FAU 学生 in which 学生 can 应用 or connect to various internal and external scholarships.  It includes FAU specific scholarships as well as scholarships from other entities for various achievements.

Freshmen accepted into Summer or Fall semesters are also considered for 奖学金 完全基于他们的KU体育信息. 这些不需要额外的应用程序. To be considered for merit-based scholarships from the Office of Admissions, 学生 must submit a 完整的 admissions application by 2024年1月15日 with all supporting documents (application, application fee, SSAR and test scores).

FAFSA financial aid, scholarships, Bright Futures, and 佛罗里达预付 are all stackable. 的y would all disburse towards a student’s FAU balance around 3-4 weeks into each semester. For those 学生 who have been accepted to FAU and received financial aid offers, the 财政援助支出估算 tool gives you an estimate of what financial aid may disburse based on your FAU enrollment and financial aid offer status at that time.

学生 will not receive a financial aid offer until all required documents have been submitted and satisfied. 学生 will receive an email at their FAU email account to view these requirements or 学生 may review student requirements online via FAU Self-Service to make sure that you do not have any unsatisfied requirements:

学生 will receive an email at their FAU email account to review/accept/decline their financial aid offer online via FAU Self-Service.

的 financial aid offer is based on full-time enrollment (Undergraduate = 12+ credit hours, 研究生= 9+学时). Most financial aid offers will be prorated down if you are enrolled less than full-time. Most financial aid offers require a student to be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours.
